The Sorion Rigel-USBIO (USB IO Control Interface) is a single board microprocessor that is specifically designed for the control of Sorion's range of digital input and output cards. These card were initially designed to be compatible with Keighley Instruments ISA 96 way TTL cards.
The Rigel-USBIO is a member of the Sorion Rigel family which is based around the Hitachi H8S 16 bit processor, has an embedded real time operating system (RTOS).
The Rigel-USBIO board is designed to be powered from a typical plant 24v DC supply and consumes a maximum of 250mA (driving 96 relays). A number of analogue channels are available and these can be configured to take inputs from 5volts to 50 volts
The onboard USB 1.1 slave interface allows for high speed connections to any PC device.
