The Sorion Rigel-VCi2 (Versatile Communications Interface) is a single board microprocessor that is specifically designed for the testing of Bus based communications systems fitted to modern vehicles.
The Rigel-VCi2 is a member of the Sorion Rigel family which is based around the Hitachi H8S 16 bit processor, has an embedded real time operating system (RTOS).
The Rigel-VCi2 board is designed to be powered from the vehicle or sub-assembly under test and consumes 100mA typically. It has an integrated a CAN controller, LIN Bus and K Line interface and a number of discrete I/O ports allow for integration into systems or for pushbuttons and LEDs in standalone deployments.
The onboard USB 1.1 slave interface allows for high speed connections to any PC device.
