Rigel VCi3 Engineering Development Unit
Having purchased your Rigel VCi3 development kit, if you are developing applications that are off the car (i.e. you don't have access to the full system), Sorion has developed a engineering development unit to aid this work.
The development unit brings out all of the Rigel VCi3 signals (from the 25 way D Type) to two part screw terminal Phoenix type connectors on the right hand side of the unit.
Also there are three sets of connectors on the left hand side, these provide power, CAN, K/LIN and digital I/O to allow for connection to ECUs.
The main face of the unit is supplied with a Velcro loop mated area to allow ECUs to be temporally attached.
An internal mains power supply provides 12 volts at 2 amps to power both the Rigel VCi3 and the ECUs that you are developing with. An optional battery pack allows development / demonstrations to take place when you are away from the convenience of mains power.
Switches allow the digital I/O within the Rigel VCi3 to have their commons individually connected to 12V, 0V or to an external source (i.e. 24v PLC system).
