A Brief Introduction To Sorion

Sorion Electronics was founded in 1990 to provide electronic engineering services to the automotive and aerospace industries. 

Sorion is a key facilities and test equipment supplier to Tier 1 suppliers such as:-

• Intier for the process control and electrical test equipment for the MINI cockpit, and doors
• Lear for the process control and electrical test equipment for Range Rover seats
• Denso for the end of line programming and test equipment for HVAC units

Sorion also supplies the majority of the UK automotive manufacturers with specialist process and test equipment, such as:-

• Land Rover, a significant networked DC Tooling & Traceability system for T5
• Nissan, process and test equipment for the Micra C+C
• Bentley, process and test equipment for the Continental and Arnage 

Sorion’s IT infrastructure has been carefully structured to allow remote support of customers’ facilities and for example Sorion is currently contracted to Intier, Land Rover and Lear for the delivery of 7 x 24 hours support.

Sorion engineers have extensive system experience in:- 

• Systems and Process engineering
• Vehicle Diagnostics and Networking including CAN, LIN & K
• Electronics and Electrical Design
• Machine Control
• Developing software solutions in MS Visual Basic and C,
• Developing and integrating databases including SQL, Oracle and MS Access,
• Network integration including; Design, Routing, Firewalls, VPN, etc.
• Providing single & clustered servers, Management, Resilience & Backup strategies 

Sorion does not offer a “standard” solution to testing, we however prefer to work with our customers to develop a solution that meets all of the requirements, is cost effective and provides a robust and reliable system.  To do this Sorion use hardware and software modules and components and configure these to deliver the solution
