Sorion's configurable test systems can be used on your assembly track to rapidly test the harness and sensors mounted on your engine. High current capability enables the driving of solenoids or motors such as variable induction systems, to check that they operate within a parameters.
The test system interfaces to your engine harness using DuraconTM ruggedised connectors and harnesses applicable to the test environment.
In developing our own I/O cards, Sorion can ensure continuity of supply and suitability for purpose, ensuring a multi-nodal system configurable within easy test sets. Each node can be configured to be current sink or source or perform positive or negative measurements. The ability to turn on multiple nodes in this configuration enables the system to turn on motors, sensors or ECUs and measure differential voltages. This is useful for checking such items as pressure sensors.
The Sorion Spark Check card for use on distributor-less systems can detect if a spark plug has been left unconnected or if it has been damaged and the gap closed.
Alternatively, by integrating with an engine ECU we can communicate using the appropriate protocol to read error codes and write initial setting codes or engine map parameters.
What is more, the system can be interfaced to your build control system to use the appropriate test strategy and store or forward results for later analysis or traceability purposes.
