CHAS

Sorion has always prided itself on Health and Safety for both its workforce and its customers. Ten years ago, we embarked on having our Health and Safety procedures formally assessed to assist us in meeting our objectives and to ultimately enhance our overall performance.

By reviewing a company’s health and safety culture, CHAS assessors make sure they meet standards set by the 1974 Health and Safety at Work Act and the new Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. Assessors check they are following guidance issued by both the Health and Safety Executive and the Health and Safety Commission.

On the 10th November 2008 Sorion was assessed by Contractor Health and Safety assessment scheme against the CHAS standards and was awarded “Registered Contractor Status”. Sorion is re-assessed on an annual basis and is proud to have now had over ten years of continual registered status.

This allows our Customers (and prospective customers) to be assured that Sorion is a competent company with respect to health and safety.
