Welcome to the latest Sorion Electronics newsletter
I started to look back to the beginning of 2015 in order to write this update, and it is amazing just how much has been achieved in terms of new projects, business investment and growth in turnover and employee numbers, more of which is detailed below.
So for now, as the manufacturing sector continues to experience solid growth and with mounting optimism for the months ahead, I wish you a positive second half to 2015!

Continued growth in orders and turnover

We have won orders from a number of new customers and we have ongoing work from long-term customers such as Denso, Lear and Magna.
Capital investment
As part of our commitment to delivering world class manufacturing performance we have and will continue to invest in our production facilities to continually improve upon quality, lead times and to yield greater economies of scale for the direct benefit of our customers.
We have increased our production by installing a mezzanine floor which has allowed us to improve upon our production flow by creating additional space to allow for further investment in new production and stock control areas. We also now have a dedicated rest area for employees based in the production area.
In our previous newsletter we announced the purchase of a 3D Printer to enable us to produce prototype and bespoke finished parts such as ruggedised connectors. Previously such parts had a lead-time of many weeks, and we are really seeing our investment pay off as we are now creating some parts within 24 hours. This extremely quick turnaround is giving us a significant competitive edge as we can produce a working solution almost immediately.
2015 marks our 25th anniversary

Further details will be sent closer to the date.
