New MD Appointment
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Green as Managing Director from 1st August 2025. The move follows Rob Horton’s phased retirement.
Rob Green joined Sorion in 2021 and has been instrumental in leading the engineering department and driving business growth as the company’s Engineering Director.
Rob Green’s appointment as Managing Director follows Rob Horton’s planned retirement at the end of the year, allowing for a lengthy and managed handover. Rob Horton joined the company in 2014 as Operations Manager and progressed through the business to Managing Director in 2024. His dedicated service of over 10 years has contributed greatly to the success of Sorion.

I am looking forward to leading the company in achieving this and to continue to evolve, adapt, and grow.”
On handing over the mantle to Rob Green, Rob Horton said:

The effects of his efforts are already noticeable in the team’s increased creativity and stronger collaboration. In view of the additional responsibilities that Rob will be assuming, he will be assisted by colleague, Heidi Horton who, in turn, is being promoted to Financial Director.
Heidi joined Sorion in 2022 as Office Manager overseeing day-to-day finances and focusing on the financial health and efficiency of the business. Her commitment, expertise and leadership have played a vital role in the company’s continued success and we are thrilled to see her take on this well-deserved role.
